Planning Process

What stage is the proposal at?

The planning application has been submitted to Edinburgh Council. It’s available to view on the Planning Portal with reference 15/02898/FUL.

As the site is within the Corstorphine Conservation Area, there is also a separate demolition application with reference 15/03169/CON.

There was a period of time when the Planning Applications were open for public comments to be lodged. This was between 7th July and 7th August ’15.

The Portal shows 471 comments, which shows great public engagement with the planning process and demonstrates the local interest in this controversial proposal.

Now the Planning Officer is reviewing the information and will write a report to be presented at a meeting of the Development Management Sub-Committee, possibly late October. The Sub-Committee might request a site visit or a public hearing.
